me, i'm a girly man with only 48000kms, but in my defence...a lot of those were track kms

Occasionally it feels a little crunchy if I change quickly from 2nd to 3rd. Usually that only happens if the car is cold, or twice when I've changed my mind mid-shift and gone 1st->3rd with the revs badly mismatched having originally planned to go to 2nd. I guess the lesson is to avoid changing my mind mid-shift!
As for the shift when cold, it feels just like an old VW GTi I had, which had a very crunchy shift in the mornings after 120k miles

1999 C2 Tiptronic-65,000 miles: original engine and trans. Arguably, the most reliable car I've ever owned.

I started to get a little nervous after reading all the "new engine after 30K and 3 rd new engine" posts but now I feel a little better. Its obvious you have to run these to make them happy!

It would be interesting to set this up as a "how many miles on your 996" poll with various mileage categories.

Mine has lots of miles - still running very strong!

I think the odo is in miles, but I changed the digital readouts to Km. (USA car running in Canada)

133,000 Miles

Turned 60k yesterday afternoon. The car seems to run better and has less interior squeaks to I first bought it when it only had 33k miles 3 years ago.
