So going over my new(to me) 996 C2 I found a subtle flat spot dent on the "shoulder" of the rear fender. It is on the top side over the rear tire. Has anyone had any luck with paintless dent removal in this area. It is not a bad dent but i notice it when I'm at at jus the right angle. Andy

Great results if done correctly, big in hail damage areas.

They have a tool that surrounds the dent and pulls outward. They can then level back out with other tools if not completely straight. I don't know what the tool was called, sorry. I did watch the process and was amazed at the simplicity. It took about 30 minutes and there was no drilling etc. Before starting they said if drilling necessary they'd have to enter under the fender behind the wheel. However, he was confident the tool would do the job and it did.

Have had great results on numerous cars. Most of the better guys doing this work can remove trim panels. Watched them disamble a BMW 7 series the other day at the dealer.

My '00 C2 arrived with perfect panels. But I happen to know the guy who took the dents out before it was put up for sale. Based on what he told me, they can do miracles with these things if they're good.

I used DentPro in San Diego for a small dent. The way they fix the dent is by sticking a long metal rod through an opening and then they "tap" the dent out. It takes a while for them to do it but it really comes out great. You will always still notice the slight "ripple" in the area because you know where to look...

The problem is, how do you know if the guy doing your car is a 10 year veteran or some dude who just got trained last tuesday?
