(**I have now updated the car with a Misha GT2 Wing and the GT3 rear trims since my last post**) Front GT3 Splitter and Misha Wing now provide much more stability at high speeds (Freeway). No more floating. And yes, I had the rear bumperettes painted by Bumperplugs.com at everyones request.

Been working on a few mods over the past couple of months. Here are a few pics of before and after.

Looks really nice!

Now, you've probably seen my recent topic on the aero kit - you have no rear wing - How is it handling? Any sign of lightness on the rear end? Any wiggle at high speed or on corners?

I'd be really interested to hear how it feels/handles before and after the Misha.

Front end is much more stable with front bumper and splitter. I feel that it is still a little unsteady at 95+ on the highway. Before adding the bumper I felt like I was floating and might go off the road.

The spliiter is definitely a plus. I drove the car first without the splitter and you could definitely tell the difference with it on.

People say the Misha wing is designed wrong, but I think it will help keep the car rock steady at higher speeds.

Just need to get the wing painted and put on and I will let you know my observations.

Thanks for the comments!

Interesting. I've always been impressed at how my car handles at close to 100mph and have never felt the floating. I'm glad to hear that you thought that the bumper improved things.

I'll be very interested to hear about the Misha, as that would be what I would get if I were to put a rear wing on the car. I've not heard comments about the design of that wing though, what has been said?

I think you need some painted bumperettes from the plug guy. Other than that WOW. Night and day difference in appearance. Looks very very nice.

Someone mentioned in a post that the Misha GT2 wing was set at a different angle than the original Factory GT2 wing so this would cause a problem at high speeds.

Not really sure if this is true since I have not seen much feedback on the misha wing after installation.

Interesting. Dell made an interesting comment about the Misha making handling worse for one Rennlister.

I'm now tending towards the partial kit with the lowered suspension.

Nick - nice job! The car looks great! The 18" wheels make a big difference in the appearance of the car. The skirts really make it look "beefier" too. I agree with blk on blk, the painted "bumperettes" would finish it off.

I love it that way. That giant GT2 wing is fugly imho. It looks great from the side but from the rear on a Carrera it looks out of place. Not to mention expensive. Nice work. I'd do wheels before a giant ricer wing.

I appreciate all of the comments.

I am going to have the Misha wing painted and installed next week, so I will re-post pics. Pricing isn't too bad. Wing was $1200 and prep/paint is $300-$500

If it looks ugly as everyone thinks then I can always sell it on ebay or rennlist.

Now updated with Misha GT2 Wing and rear GT3 Bumper trims. Car is much more stable now at freeway speeds. No more floating. Had the car realigned and now it is rock solid. Before I felt like I was floating and was nervous driving over 80 mph. The addition of the front GT3 bumper, front splitter and side skirts were an improvement, but I feel the wing and rear trims were definitely needed.

Misha wing came in very nice condition and only needed minimal finish work. I didn't realize the wing blade and base were two different pieces and could be unbolted for painting. Rear bumperettes and GT3 rear trims were painted by Eric at Bumperplugs.com. I have to say that I am very impressed with the color match and the quality of the paint job. Perfect match. I would highly recommend to anyone.
