I almost always drive 80 in the highway with a speed limit of 65. I don't pass too many other cars though, so I "blend in" with the traffic (well, most of the time).

the cab speeds are the same, we just cannot see it over the rear end. Gotta pull up to a white truck or shiny red car to see the tail up.

Yeah, I'm the same... don't be the first in line and don't be the last. Let someone else with a more aggressive style take the tickets.

Actually, it is up at 115 kph which is just a little more than 71 mph. Your speedo may say 75, but that is because it is deliberately set to read high.

yeah, your speedo fakes you out by about 5mph.

The radar signs displaying your speed should be viewed as a challenge.

I wish I could keep myself down at 75 more often - it's either gridlock or open it up (within safe reason) for me if the freeway opens up. It's makes working late worthwhile...

I used to be able to see the wing go up in my 2001 coupe, but I can't see it on the C4S cab.

Had somebody parallel me as I accelrated to 80 very SLOWLY to get the precise number and the digital speedo consistently was at 74.

[QUOTE=oreganet]If you have your rear view mirror set correctly you'll see it come up.QUOTE]
I don't know about that; my rear view mirror is perfect and I can't see jack in my cab vis a vis rear wings. And of course, my side view mirrors aim into my blind spots, so I can't even see any portion of my car in them at all. I guess, I'll just have to crane my neck and get out of my seat if I want to see the wing deploy.

Unfortunately, the local signs I see top out at 99MPH. Some don't show speeds above 80 just so as not to entice people to "see how fast they can go".

I wonder how many cops know the speed at which it goes up, it's like putting a sign on the back of your car that says, "I'm speeding."( speed limit's 70 mph here )

Actually, that's exactly the reason I try to stay *under* 75 most of the time That way I can explain that there was no way I was doing >=20mph over.

But usually I can't help myself

I seldom have the urge to go 75. I don't like to slow down that far

But you could say, "Officer, I was only doing 60, you see, there's this switch I can press to raise the spoiler..."
