Hmmmm...the first time I have heard positive feedback from this. I just took my mufflers off to do a trial run and I thought my car sounded like a old tractor. It sounded like @ss. I know that the extra pipe (that I didnt put on) will pull some of the sound out, but not that much. The obnoxious sound will just be directed to the cars behind you. I felt embarassed to drive it and put the muflers right back on. This is coming from someone who had ran S/C'd 600hp '69 camaro with 3 inch 1 chamber flowmasters on the street. If you know what I am talking about, these mufflers just change the sound of the car but does nothing for muffling the decibels of "open" headers. I'd say track only and only at high RPM. By the way, absolutely took the torque out of the engine.

I went one better than taking the mufflers off, I had some $40 bends made at a muffler shop to look into using the bypass on the street. I too am quite tolerant of loud cars (cat-free 944 turbo with 3" exhuast and very short Borla XR-1 racing muffler as a daily driver) but this(996 muffler bypass) was just silly IMO.

Ive had my Fabspeed bi pass mufflers on for a few months and love them. At first they were so loud but to me it seems they mellowed out to be nice. My buddy has PSE on his and my car sounds a little more growl. I LOVE THEM
