I see they are recycling all the left over Carrera GT wheels.
That's what the 997 front end should look like today.
By 2011 that 928 will be out dated.

Okay, so it's a Cayman front end, an Aston Martin rear quarterpanel and a Carrera GT rear lighting scheme. Hmm. Original. So unlike anything I've ever seen before.

Geez, how much does it cost to design a different looking front end. I mean put the fog lights in the headlight assembly and clean up the front end.

Also, the thing that has bugged me about Porsches ever since 1999 is that the front licence plate is mounted like an afterthought. They should have it set back in the bumper cover someplace.

They need a new designer. Is the guy from SAAB still in charge of design?

I love it and after driving 928's for 15 years prior to my 996 I will buy one of these next. Hope it gets here sooner though.

The car looks very fantastic, but it very well could be outdated in 6 years. I will be very eager to drive one of these when they come out as I was a bit too young and poor when the 928s were rolling around to give 'em a test drive.

As for the bumper and an integrated license plate bracket, they are not required in many states, and I absolutely prefer the look for the car without the front license plate.

I agree... time for the round lights to GO AWAY... and let evolution progress the design...
