How do I tell if I have PSM?

PSM became standard with the '05 997. My '04 C2 does not have PSM, and according to Steven, that is why I am not a cranky guy.

Step four: Assess the results.
If you spin *** first into the trees, you do not have PSM.
If your car lurches violently but stays on the road, you have PSM.
No need to thank me. I do this as a public service for you all. Friggin noobs.
OK, out of all seriousness, you have PSM since you have the PSM button. Take your car to an autocross or high-performance driving clinic with a skid pad so that you can learn how your car behaves with PSM on and off.

Thanks for the tip TD in DC, I have the PSM button on the dash but I still used your test just to make sure that Porsche actually installed the option. I deviated from your instructions a little by using a stone wall instead of your recommended trees but I am proud to say that I definitely have PSM as the car easily handled the corner. Looking back on it however I probably shouldn't have done this with my wife in the car. Lets just say she wasn't too happy, oh well I mostly blame it on PMS.

Didn't follow your instructions exactly, but I did exceed 85 and had one tiny oh-**** moment, but the PSM didn't kick in. :-)

When I shift too rapidly from 1rst to 2nd with the PSM engaged the car stalls for a second, but with the PSM off it the same process causes the tires to chirp a bit.

I did just that not too long ago, about 85 mph, lifted, *** first over the curb and into the bank of grass. It was a very expensive lesson but I was told the dealership gets about 5 of those per month and that it's very common for us that don't know how to drive our cars.....................
