Only car I can refer to in the past tense was my Chevy S-10 with a small block that I built in HS. Ran mid 11's in the 1/4 back in the mid 90's and drove it every single day even in the snow.
Still own my A4 and M3 but they did come previous to the 996
Next will be a GT3 or a dedicated track car (e36 M3)

Previous: 2002 Z06
Current: 2002 C4S & 2005 Audi S4
Next: Replacement for the C4S will probably be a 996TT, 997S
Replacement for the Audi S4 will probably be either an RS4, M3 V8, M Coupe or Cayman S.
Also looking for a dedicated track toy: Lotus Elise, S2000, 944, etc.

I guess the question to be asked here is how many people sold a previous car and then truly regret it later?
I feel that way a bit with the 964 - it was a great car, and unreal on a warm SoCal evening. You always assume the newer model witll be better, and the C4S is by all measure a better car, but I do miss the 964.
