Painted Bumperettes from BumperPlugs.com
I know I'm like the 3000th guy here to get these but I just had to post for anyone who is on the fence...
Got my painted bumperettes today from Eric. If you have not ordered these yet, DO SO NOW.
This might be the biggest bang for the buck mod there is. After I put them on I was literally standing in my garage holding my old bumperettes and saying to myself, "I can't believe these pieces of s**t were actually on my car".
The entire rear of the car looks different when your eyes aren't drawn to those 2 giant black eyesores.
Thanks again, Eric!

Yes, I couldn't beleive the difference myself after bolting them on. This is one of the few items you scratch your head and wonder "What was Porsche thinking?" Although BMW is famous for cladding several key items in black rubber for the first two to three model years and then magically "facelifting" the model mid-cycle by simply spraying the black pieces body color for the remainder of the model run.
It appears as if Porsche most likely followed suit with the early 996, but abandoned such friviolity with the 997; as even the '05 had body colored bumperettes.
Just another huge mistake on the early 996's that we have to "improve" ourselves.
I don't mind though: as they say down south- "parts is cheaper 'n payments"
