If you want to stay stock I recommend the X73

If you go with H&R's, you will get a little more aggressive drop. However, you should probably also change out the shocks as well so the dampning rates match your increased spring rates.

I too am in the military and in Germany with a US Porsche 996 C4. What I recommend is watch ebay.de for a set of the ROW 0030 springs and shocks, it may take a couple of months before one comes up but it will and I paid around 200 Euros for mine including shipping to my local German address (Do not use your APO). Once you have bought them finding a local shop to put them on is easy, I used one in Heidelberg that I can recommend if you live in that area. You could go with the H&Rs but I think you would be happier with the Porsche set up. My impression of driving with the US set up and the ROW set up is night and day, gone is the light front end feeling while driving on the Autobahn. Outside that welcome and stay safe!

Hey thanks rountreed. Maybe we can get together when I get and you can take me to that shop you were talking about. I live in Hanua which is not that far from Heidelberg. I would also like to thank everyone for their help.

As you already know A3 is not a good place to drive fast with all the traffic going back into Frankfurt but if you drive over to A7 on a Sunday you should be able to open her up to 150+. Also the US Military Porsche dealer every 1-2 years has a drivers training class where Porsche provides the cars and you can take the 1 day course for around 150 euros. The last one was just a couple of months ago but I could not make it with the COC we were having in Baumholder. Hopefully I can make the next one since you get to track a 997 and at the end of the day get 2-3 laps in a GT2 or GT3.

I know I have been talking about lowering my Porsche, but I have a Techart front bumper that I am going to put on it's the type II bumper. So when I put the bumper on would it be to low to have the car lowered?
