Default weather strip

The weather strip on the rear window on my '99 Cab is worn and I get some wind noise and a little water when I give her a bath. How difficult is it to replace the weather strip or is that a job for the body shop thanks Apple

If anyone can help with this, I'd love some feedback on this as well - mine isn't as bad as 996apple's, but it is wearing noticeably at the upper and lower areas, so I'm going to have to do this at some point.

If you are talking about the weather seal on the leading edge of the rear window, mine is doing the same thing on my Cab. I get noticable wind noise. It appears that this seal can be pulled and replaced. I too would be interested in a part number/ source.

David - Here is what I found in the Porsche 996 parts listing for a cab. Hope this helps.

Thanks Tim, that really helps. I will call Sunset Porsche on Monday to get availability and a price quote.

Thanks to the guys who responded------------no problem finding the new weather strip----just wanted to know of the installation----do you have to remove the glass or door panel or area that houses the window to get to it or can you just rip it off and glue in another thanks again apple

I just ordered the weatherstrip from Sunset. They were $6.15 each (left and right). Not a bad price to get rid of the wind noise.
