Default Who has the best deals for LWF kit?

I don't really need a clutch but would like to install a light weight flywheel. I've noticed the prices are very different for 3.4 vs 3.6. I have a 3.4 and would like to find the best deal out there.................... I'd even be interested in a used flywheel somebody does not want............... as long as the flywheel has no issues! Thanks.

I hope you are only going to track the car.

If not don't do it. Car will stall a lot

Sorry, but this is misinformation. I am running Sachs Stage 2 clutch with LWFW. If you stall this you don't know how to drive a manual. It is basically no different than stock as far as stalling goes. I would recommend it. I got mine from Kevin at Ultimatemotorwerks!

Have to agree. You will not be prone to stalling as long as you get used to the quicker spool up and down of the clutch.

The stalling issue is specific to the 964 and MY95 993. To improve mileage and to keep unburnt fuel from finding its way into the catalytic converter the Bosch Motronic ECU turns off the injectors when your foot is off the gas once the engine has warmed up and the engine is coasting. With those two models the fuel is not turned on fast enough (i.e. high enough RPM) so with a LWF the engine RPM drops a lot quicker than the ECU was expecting and by the time the fueling is turned back on it is too late. There is also a slight problem related to battery voltage. Anyway there is a solution and its being tested now for compatibility between model years. The idle chatter can be reduced by raising the idle speed.

Had my LWF for several weeks and has never stalled. I wish I had it installed sooner. Go for it!

Yes, I can attest to the 964 problem and have high hopes for Jason's fix. Have never heard of it with a 996.
