Default CDR 220 head unit button fix update

The new buttons are here from SWStereo.com and they are OEM repacements which fit perfectly. Unfortunately the finish is "tacky" and picks up dust which prompted me to try to "clean" them in the first place which caused the surface to "melt" inexplicably.

I wish Becker had used a different material as this one seems doomed to attract more dust and look like crap over the years. It's just very "sticky" out of the box.

Anyway, SWStereo.com has the buttons OEM and brand new for cheap.

End of saga.

The buttons across the top of my CDR220 are peeling, especially the top right one with with the arrow used to lower the CD door. The large rubber ***** are fine. What did you replace? It's my understanding the unit has to be removed and partially disassembled to replace the upper buttons. Any more details you can give? Thanks

Contact Becker directly. They should be able to help you. I had the same problem a year ago and just swapped out the radio.

Replaced the 2 large rubber ***** which "melted" after being cleaned. I have no trouble with the rest of them; I really don't use the stereo at all.

Quick question - How do you remove the radio *****? I have the CDR-220 radio/CD unit and I am unable to find instructions on removing the *****. I assumed they simply pulled off however mine will not come off.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use a pair of pliers, and pull ..... seriously. They just pull off.
