My 1st 911!! 2002 C4S. YAY!!
***THIS IS A RESURRECTED THREAD, CHECK THE DATE***
I flew a friend and I from St Louis to Houston, Global Motorcars picked us up at the airport and drove us to the dealership. I saw the car and didn't even have to test drive it, it is very close to showroom, after they we're done prepping and putting on Yokahama AVS Sports, we drove the car home and never looked back. 14 hour drive, got home at 6am.
This car is Gorgeous!!! I love it. Everyone I drive by looks at it. I have gotten remarks in every gas-station. It is the right car with all the right options. That sports exaust rox! Global Motorcars is a great dealership. Talk to Dean Bastas!!!
2002, Black Metallic/Black int., Leather Dash, Sport Exaust, Sport Seats Full Leather, silver console, Misha aftermarket GT2 Wing, bose/changer, Short Shifter, Heated Seats, Advanced Techniq pak, Sports Design pak, 3 months left on Factory then goes to Porsche Cert. for 2 years.

Any advise/tips would be very welcomed!
I'll get some good pics up later this week!!!
Thanks guys,

The car is perfect, 1 owner, never wrecked, original stickers on hood and other parts. Besides, Porsche would NOT Certify it, had it been wrecked.
Must have just been the lighting, doesn't look off-color in person. Interior is cleanest I have seen, especially w/that leather dash.

I thought the airbag looked odd too, but like you said could certainly have been the light.
Car looks great, good luck!!
I'm with dell, not crazy about the wing on a C4S, however, as long as you're happy that's all that matters.

congrats - I just got a C4S as my first P-car as well just last Feb. I really like the interior treatment on yours - I'm planning on several of those mods, of which you'll not have to worry!
Being part of the picky crowd tho, I have to go along with the dissent on the wing... I love the smoother lines of the car (even compared to my buddy's TT - call me blasphemous?) but hey, to each his own. Best of luck with her.

If you bought it from Global and they bought it from Advantage (I assume that is the same a Porsche of West Houston?) then it is NOT certified. CPO is not tranferable to a non-Porsche dealer.....ONLY to between private party individuals.
Sorry if it sounds like I am breaking your *****. I'm not. I just want you to understand how the CPO works and hate to have to hear you a year from now say you got screwed on your CPO claim for a warranty repair b/c you were lied to.

The problem is that Global is a used car dealer and they cannot SELL nor CERTIFY any car they sell with the PCNA CPO program--only Porsche dealers can. The problem is that it might have been a CPO prior to being purchased by Global. If the title reflects that you PURCHASED it from Advantage Porsche of West Houston then you can keep the CPO. But the second PCNA's computers get updated that it went from Porsche dealer to non Porsche dealer then to you chances are it will be removed and when you go to get CPO warranty work done you are gonna be told the cold hard truth.
This is a tough one. I would hate to have you call PCNA to verify that your NAME is now on the CPO paperwork with the risk of you asking them about the situation you are in so you can verify you get the CPO and then them void it.
I guess at this point all you can hope for is to get the CPO paperwork in the mail (in the next 4-6 weeks is my guess) and at that point you will know it is legit. But if you call to get it "transferred" into your name prior to that and they see that you did NOT buy the car from them but that is was sold to Global you are gonna be in for a shock.
Maybe somebody has other input here? This is one dicey situation.
