Mine doesn't exhibit either of those lighting descriptions. Rather, when I press the button, the light blinks rapidly until it is depressed. Is that the 'normal' flash sequence of these keys? How does the red light behave on a 'working' key?
Perhaps I need a new battery? Can the batteries be picked up anywhere other than a dealer?

Would that suggest that my battery is just too weak then? Does it have a special 'low battery' indicator blink? Or is it possible for the light to blink properly but something else be malfunctioning?
