Update on GAHH soft top with glass window
For those of you that haven't read my previous post, about 3 weeks ago I ordered one of the new GAHH soft tops with glass windows for my 2000 C2.
Shortly after installation, the canvas started separating from the glass window.
Here's the detail of the story + some pics :

So what happened in the meantime ?
The car went back to the installer, he removed it and subsequently shipped it overnight to GAHH (CA). They inspected it and are under the impression this is a one-off defective top. Basically, not enough glue was applied for the therma bonding between the glass and the canvas.
They immediately overnighted a new top which was installed earlier this week.
I picked up the car today and it looked really good.
Just as an FYI, GAHH has been great to deal with. Their customer service has been top notch.
Also, since there were several questions about this, the rear view is OK. The glass rear window is not as high as the plastic one, but seems to be wider. I don't mind it at all. Kind of gives me flashbacks of my Viper (which I still miss a lot )
Attached some pictures. Check it out yourselves.

Three Wheelin'
Yves, you know, it absolutely looks fantastic! It doesn't look small at all. In fact, it looks almost stock.
Can anyone post some photos of their OEM glass rear window that came standard in 2002+ cabriolets for comparison? Thanks.
UPDATE: I found a picture on Autotrader....

Within a month or so they intend to sell an electrical harness (separately). From what I understand it needs to be hooked up underneath the driver seat.
I didn't bother it isn't available yet since I live in Hotlanta anyway.

Sorry to join this thread late. I had a plastic window stitched in last year to a 2000 996 when I bought the car from the dealer -the preovious had completely seperated along the bottom and previous owner tried to glue himself (muppet). It hasn't been out in the rain much until recently. Man does it leak!! lower corner. Its not a bad repair but not brilliant, so i did beat them up on price citing I would need a new hood sometime. 2 choices: Take it to a 'decent' installer and see if it can be re-done with new plastic, glued and stitched. OR replace with the completely new hood - these from GAHH, with the glass look great. A shame as the rest of the hood is in excellent shape. Does anyone know of a good top installer in South Florida - near Fort Lauderdale I can get an honest opinion, and capable of either repair or fit new? - Many thanks

If the rollbars pop, you will have a lot more to worry about than a smashed rear window. The new cabs have glass windows and I haven't heard of their windows getting smashed out.
I just had my rear plastic window sewn in for $240. That is a great price since the entire top MUST be removed from the frame before the window can be sewn.
