First post here, I have owned in the past quite a few pre 70's Porsches and now want to purchase a newer 911.
Found basically exactly the car I want, it a 99, with aero, full leather, mesh factory 19's, ocean blue with tan leather interior, 6 speed, sport seats with power. Car has 48K miles on it, and has not had a RMS leak in the past, never even been hit.
Nothing non factory on the car. What would something like this bring out here in San Diego.
the car is a 10 out of 10 right now for the miles and its in the color and options that I want which I think is clouding my vision as to what it is worth.
I hop eto put a deposit down today or tommorow and have it PPI's if I can find a price.
I also have an Arctic Silver '99 with just less than 48k miles, a Cabriolet, near mint condition, Sports seats, Carbon shift & brake, full leather, Litronic lights, 18" wheels, Factory painted seat backs and console, Traction Control, ABD, OBC, Stainless door sills, silver gauges, factory hard top and 19 special exclusive options. I also had a new motor and complete clutch assembly installed this Spring with a 2 year warrenty. I looked for about 15 months and at many many cars before I found this one. It is very special to me and I savor every moment I drive it even having owned it nearly 3 years. NADA book price shows average retail as $41075 and I think if I was to sell it I would want more. My car is way above average condition and extremely heavily optioned and shows very well. I would want about $43k if I was to sell it. Most people here and on other boards will give you really low figures, and understandably so. An average '99 car shows lots of wear and tear and may have sustained abuse from several owners. These, not so special cars, usually bring less than NADA or KellY Blue Book pricing. I find thes cars usually sell for more out West also. Good Luck!
Well I just looked at this one at 33K$ and it is the cleanest porsche I have ever seen in my entire life, I looked at close to 30 911's today and it took the cake.
I am going to go for it because its exactly the color and options I want. Wish me luck that the bank gets off there butts and actually does the loan.
No way you will get a clean factory full aero car for that cheap. Buyer beware, even ebay can net quite a bit more than that.................................. Best of luck.
I will post pictures, the car is going to pioneer to have a PPi done this weekend and then its mine, the rims are 18's the seller was incorrect in his description, and they are the mesh looking sport rims.
Just got off the phone, its a done deal 32K, pending inspection.
Pictures are here.
As I remember,
The options are.
Aero Pack
Sport Seats ?(Do not remember)
Sport wheels.
ocean blue,
carmel interior
6 speed, and if I remember correctly it has heated seats and dual controls but I am not to sure about the seats.
Lights.
some sort of factory exhaust, it might be just eh pipe covers though.
congrats. No offense, but that is nowhere near "full leather" or even supple leather. I'm afraid the car was misrepresented to you, but nonetheless it looks okay otherwise (exterior). welcome to the elite 99 ocean blue/savanna beige club *_*
If you raise the front hood you will see a factory label on the underside with all the options listed. These are usually 3 digit codes that can be easliy deciphered.
