Default Stupid Turbo Twist Wheel Question

Somehow I just noticed this this morning. I have a 2000 C2 with Turbo Twists. My question is do the twists lean the same way on all the wheels? Or are there left and right side twists? On my car they all twist the same way and I am not sure if that is correct. Thanks in advance for the help.

The wheels are as designed when viewed on the left side of the car and as I understand it the die maker had a stroke before the right side moulds were completed so they used the lefts on both sides;-)

All four wheels "lean" the same way.

I hated that design flaw on my Dad's new SL. On one side of the car the AMG wheels curve forward, the other side backwards! Absolutely flawed for a car that is well of $100K!!!

We have directional (side specific) tires in many cases so why the hell can't they have 2 molds to produce left and right side wheels?

My buddies used to heckle me on this too, that my world-class sports car icon is equipped with two sets of left-side wheels (or right-side, depending on your reference point).

You rasied an interesting point about about these wheels which I had on my previous 993 and now the 996. With all the attention to performance detail Porsche's are known for, I'm quite surprised the wheels are all oriented the same way. My E34 540i has probably one of the best wheels BMW ever made, called the throwing stars, are they are unidirectional such that the spokes draw air out as they spin (like a fan) from the undercarriage of the car, and reducing lift in the process.
