Question Pros and Cons of wheel spacers

I'm thinking of spacing my wheels out a little bit. What are the ramifications and are the benefits worth the potential wear on bearings etc.? I was only planning on 1/8" (front) to 1/4" (rear). I definitely like the look, but I don't want to do anything that will increase wear anywhere else.

IMO not worth the added wear on the bearings. I have enough as it is!

Thumbs down

Thanks Tabor. I think you're probably right. I'm gonna pass on them.

Paul,

Porsche makes a 5mm spacer for the GT3 (so the front wheels can clear the calipers) that also comes in a kit with 5mm longer wheel bolts. I've been running them on the street and on the track for 2 years with no problems.
