Robin,
Looking at your signature, I'm curious. What's a 996DX????

Fool the center console:
1. Open the compartment
2. There is a switch which is depressed by a plastic bar on the top lid of the center console.
3. Put a _small_ dab of correction fluid (white stuff to correct typos) on the switch which is in the lower section of the console.
4. Close the lid to the console, next open it and see the white smear where the switch is depressed by the plastic bar?
5. Take a small file, and file away a small portion of the plastic bar so it will not press down on the switch even when the lid is closed.
6. You are done.

LiveNupe,

Glad you noticed it, not sure if everybody gets the "joke".

As all the Asian imports bears the badge "DX", "LX", "EX"... so I am just having fun to catagorize our p-car into the same catagory. As everyone have nice big bucks to be able to afford the C4S, turbo, etc.... I am just a lowly no frills "DX" owners.

So, this is the way I look at it.

2 or 4 wheel drive coupe, cab = DX
4 wheel drive "S" bling bling model = LX
Turbo, GT-2, GT-3 = EX

Hope that was clear.
