Talking attn c4s owners: how many times have you seen psm turn on? in 2k mi including wet

mountain switchbacks i have never seen it turn on! i am thoroughly amazed by the enormous grip of of the c4s! the psm is the least obtrusive system i could imagine. in a 2002 c2 that i test drove psm lit up briefly around several of my favorite sharps corners in the 20 miles that i drove the car. this is impossible to duplicate with my c4s. what a car! its stability and grip is almost scary!

I hesitated to post for fear that it will be labelled as "mutual admiration", but I wholeheartedly agree with you. Have taken the car through some wicked corners starting at the fastest speed I'm comfortable with then at increasing increments of speed. The one time PSM kicked in was when I lost nerve midway in a curve and lifted. Heard rather than felt the rapid staccato of the brakes modulating. Straightened right out when I pressed on. YAHOOOOO!!!

in 4500 miles, 3 times all in the same day, within 20 miles of one another - It started snowing. Saved me from a spin on 1 of the 3 occasions. Next season I'll get snow tires.

Otherwise, the only time I see the light is when I start up the car...

psm finally lit up today momentarily as i lifted up accelerator on a very sharp curve in 2nd gear 20mph faster than i usually take it-straightened up immediately!

this is the most unobtrusive anti skid system possible. it only seems to intervene at the last second on the hairy edge. in retrospect i have been driving my c4s like i used to drive my '79 911sc--very smoothly--never letting up the accelerator on a curve. the c4s is much more forgiving and more capable but much of the same kind of feel is retained. only a turbo could ever pry me out of my c4s!

Ignacio,

Congratulations on your new car. Sounds like you're having fun. Any pictures yet?

Happy motoring,

Cool

1100 miles and only once. The car is very impressive. The only time it happened was on a corner with uneven pavement. One of the tires was off the floor for a fraction of a second and all the pretty lights went off on the dash. I felt some braking, but that was it. It was very smooth. I've finally started to push the car harder than before and so far it has not happened again. I am very happy with the car.

I don't think South Florida is a good testing ground for PSM. But with a lot of straight roads I am already testing the SPEED !! Damn its fun !

I have 3000 miles on my X50tt and havn't felt it yet. I've driven in rain and snow (tho no accumulation) but generally try to stay below 3500 in bad conditions (rule of thumb is one gear higher than in dry). The grip is incredible.

Never in my 2038 miles on my C4S, but I expect it soon, now that it is beyond breakin mileage

What I have found with the PSM is that smoothness matters. On city streets when its wet I sometimes test it in safe places. But on the track I have found it to be very very low key as long as your smooth. You can go as fast as you want but get out of shape and you get disco lights

If your from the south you might know Roebling Road in Ga. I've done 1:24 lap times with no disco lights.....I think that tells you how much it is willing to let you do before stepping in. I have also had cases where people in front of me caused me to lift in the middle of a fast sweeper and seen the light flash and magic happen... Best money I ever spent...Ever since that time my friends named my car after the Bionic woman...

P.S Mine is a 2000 C2

i am delighted that psm is so reluctant to intervene but i am also happy to have it there for those inevitable but expensive lapses in judgement that we all occasionally suffer.

i still remember doing a full 360 on a wet curve in my beloved but fickle '79 911sc. i still thank god no one happened to be coming the other way! i'm sure psm would have prevented such a mishap today.
