Default WRX kill story

I've always read these stupid little ric%# (Being PC) kill stories on the ric%$ (PC) boards, so I am being silly here. Why should they have all the fun?

Was out to lunch today driving my C4 with the wife in the car, behind me at the light was a WRX. I am sure sitting at the light reading my Carrera 4 badge he would like to take a shot at my car. So I decided to punched it when the left turn signal turned green and as I guessed it he came full throttle to after me.

After the turn I was at least 4 car lengths ahead of him, and then came another right hander into a narrow street. Hard blip, heel and toed into 2nd before the turn and then pedal to the metal again. Man! I was gone... He was now 10 car lengths behind. Should have known, another straight line bad *** ric%$ (PC) who doesn't know how to turn.

Wife was screaming at me... OK! OK! now I hear what your new muffler sounds like. the whole time she had no idea I was having a little fun with the WRX.....

But.... damn just realized I am in a Porsche 911 C4, I should whip the WRX's butt.... LOL!!!!!

Just a little humor for Monday.......

I learn a new term for that in bike world. they called them "squid"- base on the sea creature behavior. a squid can take off so fast that no one can keep up with in straight line but when it comes to turns, it will become almost complete stop...then take off again...

I'd be facing WWIII in my house if I drove like that with my wife in the car! Nice kill though.

Guys, my silly idea was to make the post like one of them posts on the other Japanese car forums... for a good laugh on a stuffy workday. I guess I didn't explain it well enough.

The drive was real, but I normally just drive like that anyways. LOL!

Depends on the Japanese car forum. If you're talking about civics and the like...sure, it's a bunch of jokers. WRXs are also slow as heck and I wouldnt have waste my gas on them. A STi? Ok maybe a bit more fun.

Not sure why you had labeled specifically Japanese car forums though. If you should ever pull up next to something like a Supra TT (chances are you won't be pulling next to a stock one...with simple bolt-ons, BPU, the car will make around 450hp flywheel) it'll be putting bus lenghts on you. Anyone who keeps up with the automotive world knows how easy it is for these cars to make buttloads of power. I have a handful of friends who all have 750rwhp+ on their TTs.

I know the feeling, my girlfriend is the same. This week end we fallowed a few buddies on their bikes up to a superbike race up at Tremblant. The drive started at 80mph and ended at 110mph..... She wasn't happy!!

Robin...naughty, naughty, naughty. My bone head friend with a 9-2x Aero which is basically a WRX wagon kept talking about how he's raced M3/5, G35, Boxsters and 911s and beat them or they can't shake him.

So one morning we met for lunch and while I normally do NOT condone street racing I had to shut him down in the M3. He could not believe how shut down he got.

Yeah I'm a twit sometimes.

I killed a regular WRX with my Cayenne Turbo, straight and twisty he was with his girlfriend too, bleh ... if you have a 911, you need to race an STI...LOL
awesome story though, although my wife's first word would be, who are you racing? because we were together for 14 yrs since she was in high school, so she knows me very well

Isn't that funny that every single WRX owner will tell you first off that their car is faster than a Porsche...seems they can't say anything else about their cars. See y'a at the 'ring kiddo....

I have not the slightest idea what the heck that was, a WRX or STi. Don't pay much attention to them. I just knew it had a big scoop thing on the front hood... I never had the chance to look at the badge from behind. :P

Regardless, the 996 C4 is awesome!!!!! baby. I knew if I was in the 993 I probably wouldn't be writing this post..... LOL

Hate to put a damper on the fun in this forum - and it was a fun story, but I thought from the subject line the tale was going to have quite a different twist. 18 year kid in the North Shore Chicago suburbs got a new toy - $35,000 WRX Sti for graduating top ten in his class and doing all the right things in high school. Ran it into the back end of a big American boat at 100 mph last weekend and was killed instantly. I see way too many kids in those things who haven't learned how to have fun while respecting the laws of physics. God, I'm getting old.

Congratulations on the kill. Though I don't condone street racing, I know for a fact that import boards use the 911 as a litmus test of how fast/how well their cars perform.

The (problem?/perks?) of these cars are that for a minimal amount of money they can make the WRX's and STi's, essentially $30k cars, go amazingly fast. Alot of the new generation WRX and Evolution owners are ex-quarter mile honda owners who believe AWD will make up for their lack of driving skills.

The general enthusiast path (from my observations) tends to be:
Honda->Subaru/Mitsubishi->BMW->Porsche. So I guess we all have a little ricer in us still.
