Default A Porsche for sale at a Ford Dealership

I was looking at the classifieds this morning and I saw an '03 996 for sale for $52.5 K. The car only has 30K miles. It's being sold by Liberty Ford 410 655 2000. The ad says it was a trade. Let's see, maybe an '03 996 for an '06 Mustang? Interesting trade.

no no no someone thought they bought a Ford Mondeo...probably a former 993 owner who couldn't tell the difference...but really wanted a mondea...so they traded the 996 in for a Ford Mondeo...more space in the back!

I meant Ford Taurus of course....eventhough I think the Mondeo looks more like a 996!

I bet it was a trade-in on a Ford GT. Nothing else would make sense, unless it was the owner's personal car and he's just using the lot to unload it.

Let's assume it's a beat-up/neglected car. It was originally traded-in for whatever the PO could get for it, then bought at auction by the Ford dealer. That's another one that would make sense. Technically, the Ford dealer wasn't lying.

Actually you could be right on target because the ad uses the phrase "local trade."

Had to be a GT. I'm sure the owner figured the 'fit and finish' on the Ford was superior to the 996.

Yeah....right. If it's all about the horsepower...well....

I GUARANTEE it wasnt traded in to that dealer UNLESS....newly married guy needs much more room, like an Excursion.....OR.....someone did not want the upkeep, didnt want a payment, and traded it for a new Mustang GT....But I would put money it was an auction car....

That 996 has a grenade in the engine.
