They do NOT fit the narrow body 996. You would probably get bites on the TT or GT2 forum.

that's simon's 996. he does not have the gt3 style wheels that are made for a TT. they are way wide and the offset will stick them out beyond the fenders.

that sux. you snooze you looze J/K. the search for wheels continues.

the regular gt3 wheels (18x8, 18x11) will need fender rolling on a narrow body 996. i have a set of kinesis k18s that came from a gt3 and the fenders DEFINITELY needed fender rolling.

the gt3 style wheels for the gt2/TT need 2" of fenderwell per side. you won't need fender rolling, you would need fender FLARES

"Fender rolling" = some neanderthal sticks a baseball bat between the tire and the fender of your car and rolls it back and forth, pushing the fender lip in. Thus creating some extra tire clearance. If you're lucky (and it depends on luck since it is not science) you will get that extra tire clearance without creasing the metal, or cracking the paint, or any other malady. If you're unlucky, your fenders will look like crap and your car will look a little like a '49 Mercury with the fender skirts removed.

you have to use the tricks of the trade. use a heat gun to soften the paint to prevent cracking. it also makes the metal more maleable.

it also helps to use something like this. bought one and works really well. had to modify it to the 5x130 bolt pattern though.

If you have a Techart dealer nearby, they all have fender rollers and can do it for you.

I don't think the issue is that it needs fender roller to fit a narrow body, it is that it sticks out of the fenders. I have seen 2 narrow body cars with turbo wheels and they definitely stick out. One of the cars was using the turbo wheels for race tires at the track. Both had stock non-lowered suspensions. The other was just driven on the street. I don't think rolling the fenders is enough since these wheels place the tire under, not inside, the wheel well lips. I would be far more concerned about damaging the body work with the tires hitting the lips.

I have a set of CCW rear 18x11.0" wheels for my race tires. They were custom made with about a 70mm offset to fit the back end of a narrow body. Currently I have 295 rubber on them, but there is plenty of room to fit 315's without rubbing or fender rolling. There is no way this would fit with an inch less offset.
