Thanks guys for all the support and advice. The only thing wrong with this board is while reading about pcars I start getting excited about driving it or mods.
I'll be back in a while with a smile on my face and 50 more miles on the odometer.LOL

I have a 50 mile commute. With the gas prices the way they are I have thought of looking for a job closer to home ... then I get in the Pcar on a sunny day with the top down and think, Naaa!

I've put 11,000 miles on the p-car since buying it in December. I didn't buy it to be my daily driver for my 120 mile commute but the car is too addictive to not drive it.

Drive it whenever you get the chance to. I try to drive mine all the time unless the weather's really bad. You only live once anyways...

don't let it sit too long. i drive mine 2-3x a week. daily driven is fine too. storing it over 3 month often can cause issues in the long run.

Storage is bad. Drive it daily even if it's only a short drive. When buying used look more closely at the service record than the total mileage. Super-low mileage used Porsches are often a problem - particularly older cars with really low miles.

I have a 4km drive to work and manage to put on about 7000km per year, which adds up to really low mileage, relatively speaking. Still requires 3 or 4 oil changes per year, and a ton of miscellaneous service.

'02 C2. Driven daily - rain, snow or shine.

It depreciates regardless of mileage. Drive the thing as much as you can. If you do the math, you're cost per mile goes down w/ more mileage on your vehicle!! =) That's what I tell myself anyway!

Seriously though, I drive it as much as I want. Never call it a "weekend car".

I just moved on from my Boxster 2.5 to a 911 C2Cab.
Used the Boxster as daily driver, put 355.000 km on the clock, never let me down, by far the best car I ever had, lets hope the 911 holds up the reputation.
Good luck and use it like you use a woman : be carefull when cold, warm her up and you can go for it

Regards
Ronny
