Can someone tell me how to remove the interior door panel on a 996 coupe?

I don't know much about removing the panel, but I do remember reading some time ago that you need to disconnect the battery or risk setting off the side airbag.

I just did this on my friends Cab... There is a screw in the door pocket you must remove, then pull off the door handle cap, the long piece.. there are two large hex screws there.. Next pop out the silver airbag logo, there is a allen screw way in there. After that pop out the piece behind the mirror.. it pops out.. then just pull out on the bottom of the panel, there are several plastic snaps just pull and they will pop out.. after that just lift up and the panel will come off.. There is a couple of wires that are attached.. the door lights.. just pull one out and the you can rest the panel on the ground.. We didn't disconnect the battery.. your not really interfering with the airbag.. but it wouldn't hurt to disconnect it.
