I saw a thread like this on my Range Rover forum - some of those guys are scary.
Anyway, my favorites are my Panerai 111, and my Rolex GMT - SS with black face. Timeless.
I am glad to see there are some Panerai fans out there - it is still a little known brand, but their watches look like nothing else in my opinion.

I wear a simple Casio digital. In addition to telling the time, it has an altimeter, barometer, digital compass and thermometer. All for less than a 100 bucks. I just haven't caught onto the expensive watches. If all you want to know is the time, then why bother ... ?

I understand the case for wearing a cheap watch. However, the same case can be made for driving a Ford Focus rather than a 911.
Both get you from A to B, both can do the speed limit. Therefore, both do the same basic thing...

1948 IWC Portugieser and 1987 Rolex GTM blue/red.
Discoganya: you're right. Only spend money on things that excite you. If watches don't have your interest, that's cool with me. I would encourage you to check our=t of few older watches. You may catch the bug.
Cheers!
