Ohh if that is realy your collection..you should be driving a GT and have a ferrari as your daily beater.

That's like a Mil+ in watches.

Omega Seamaster Pro Automatic (Stainless with Blue Face) - this seems like a pretty popular watch
Oris BC3 Automatic - this is my "beater" watch

Everyone has a different priority. I know a guy who own almost all Limited Edition Patek including Ref 5959 Split Second Chrono and a Sky Moon Tourbillon pt. He drives a 1999 VOLVO. I know....Crazy.

I wish I had a Carrera GT but I live in another part of the world where a brand new Hummer H2 costs USD285,000 and a Porsche Boxster cost USD230,000.
That's right; be thankful that you have the luxury of owning nice cars for much much less. :-)

Regards.

CVSTOS was the latest watch I acquired. IMO, it's overpriced considering the ETA movement however it's getting a lot of compliment from others.

Question for you serious watch aficionados. What is it about watches that stir your emotions? I like Porsches, got a couple, I like Harleys, got several, I like guns, got too many, I like cameras, got lots, I like tools, got too many, I love original works of art, got very little, I love rocks (that I find), got lots. I don't like jewelry, pens, dress shoes, ties, belts, cell phones or ipods. I like my Suunto Vector watch as a tool but don't care for watches in general.

Yea, I must be a misfit.

Hundreds of pieces of tiny but precise gears and screws put together that not only tells time, but many (more expensive models) even give other complications such as split second chronograph, minute repeater, tourbillon, etc. They're pieces of arts. And, it's all mechanical.

Split Second Chronograph, Minute Repeater, Tourbillon...those are indeed interesting complication. Don't forget Perpetual Calendar that can go directly from February 28 to March 1.
Now add all those four complication and you have a super complication...and it's all mechanical.
I love and collect watches, knifes, guns and harley as well. Watch is sort of like Harley's moto which goes like " ...if I have to explain it, you wouldn't understand"...something like that. :-)
