Default Clueless P drivers

Coming out of a parking garage this afternoon in Tysons. See another C4S coming in, blink lights. Driver looks at me like I had just propositioned her. Who are these poseurs?

Try it with anybody these days...the only people who seem to know what it means are drivers of classic cars.

Good question. I did a track day with the Ferrari club of Washington and they had some Hotties (2nd or 3rd wives I guess).

No, Ferrari owners wouldn't bring their wives to the track...

I've had good experience with 997 guys. 996 is a hit or miss, especially in the 99-01 models. Not sure what it all means.

mostly on country roads or in lightly populated town areas... 993 owners tend to return the best, also wtih higher echelon models, GT3/Turbos...

A cayenne actually flashed me awhile ago... i was so surprised i barely had time to wave.

There are a few ladies around here who are enthusiasts, see them driving and they always flash (lights...)

Nycebo: In manhattan, its difficult - theres so much traffic, one is too busy avoiding all the insane cabbies and clueless tourists.

During the meet this weekend I saw a 996 going the opposite direction of 6 of us in a row and not wave.

On Saturday morning, though, a turbo 996 damn near slammed on brakes to look and wave at me.

I always try to flash. Almost broke the stem off trying not to miss once. Got an "oh honey" from the kind missus. I get a 70% return from 911s, 50% return on boxters. I haven't flashed a Cayenne -- I don't see them in time, but there are lots.

Wow, now we're deciding who are enthusiasts and who are posuers. I thought that was the responsibility of the 993 forum.

Come on, why don't you admit it. She was a good looking woman and you were just trying to get to meet her. Seriously back in the 70s I use to flash my lights at all Porsches and would get acknowledged at least 90% of the time. Today it's less than half. I'm not sure why the change.
