Question HELP: Extending factory warranty to 6 year/ 100,000 miles

Hi guys,

I am considering purchasing a used 996 that is still under the factory warranty. I want to extend it to the 6 year/100,000 mile program.

How do I go about doing this? I am assuming you can do this anytime while the car is still under the original factory warranty.

Can I go to any Porsche dealer to extend the warranty? What is the cost of extending? Is the cost fixed through Porsche or is it determined by greed of each dealer?

Thanks in advance.

The "Porsche" warranty can not be extended in the US. You can buy a 3rd party warranty extension and most dealers sell one. It might make more sense to shop around though. See the thread below on warranties.
