Post Porsche Exclusive

Does anyone know how to get in touch with this group at Porsche, directly?

I keep getting stone-walled at US dealers about personalization before purchase.

I'm not actually 100% sure on my facts here but PCNA does offer Exclusive Program options to the extent possible in view of applicable USA laws. I understand the Exclusive stuff is installed post production off the regular line and can be arranged anytime after the car is built. You may be able to take European delivery of a USA car and personally arrange for more Exclusive options after taking delivery at factory. You may then get X74 suspension, GT3 seats, rollbar etc. installed then ship the car back to USA through the regular European delivery channels. I would call the Porsche factory in Germany directly, I'm sorry I can't find phone number right now, the Porsche operator speaks English and can direct your call. Ask for the Exclusive department and talk directly to them. I doubt you will be able to get PCNA to help you with these other options. Has anyone else out there delt with the Exclusive department this way, I'd like to know?

Question

You may then get X74 suspension,

What is the X74 suspension? Is it a stiffer version of the 030?

Cool

"Minus 30" or "Thirty Low" Porsche Exclusive suspension option MX74 per the article "Hard-Core Suspension Tuning" in the August/September 2001 Christophorus. This is listed on the British Porsche Web site as a "Sports chassis (-30mm)" option on 996 coupes both C2 and C4 but not cabriolets and is very expensive at £1.727,25 vs. the regular (M030) sports chassis at £352,50! Minus 30 means 30 mm lower than standard Euro ride height this would be 40 mm lower in front and 30 mm lower in rear than USA standard ride height. There is no listing of this option on the North American Web site under "Porsche Car Configurator". The MX74 suspension consists of different springs and shocks as well as front strut mounts and front bumpstops. The rear bumpstops and stabilizers are the same as the M030 spec. The parts apparently cannot be ordered without the vehicle identification number (VIN) of a car that was originally equipped with the MX74 option since there are also some chassis "reinforcement" measures involved in the installation which is performed in the Exclusive Workshop and not on the assembly line. Another example of USA not getting what the Europeans do.
