Angry Side Marker Question

I just put clear euro side markers on my car. They look great. Pretty straight forward install just plug and play, right? They don't work. I even tried putting the old ones back and they don't work either. Is there something I'm missing? Is their a reset or something that has to occur? They should just go on w/ my blinkers right? Any help would be appreciated.

Oh-oh. If you've put the original ones back, and now even those don't work, you may have disconnected something. They go on with the lights, not blinkers. It's supposed to be just plug and play. Did it on mine, no problem. At this point, you may want to check the connections and wiring.

No, by default they do not go on with your blinkers (not in the US). They should be on with parking or headlights. If not, check the fuses.

BTW... there is a wiring hack that will make them flash with the turn signals. If you are interested let me know and I will dig it up.

Loren,

I'm interested. You can either post it, or e-mail me. Thanks.

Here is a link to the side marker turn signal hack. Credit goes to Sandy for looking at the ROW schematic and figuring out how do this easily. The instructions look harder than it really is.

One word on the hack: when parking/headlights are on, the side marker will blink alternately vs the front/rear blikers . A bit odd to look at.
They all blink simultaneously if the headlights/parking lights are off.
