Post 2002 pricing

How much are dealers currently discounting 2002 C2 coupes with no options? I am looking to do various track modifications to the car mostly involving lightening the car(rollcage, recaros, stipped interior), and don't need to pay for options from the factory (except sunroof delete). Are low to mid 60s possible based on a 67-68 MSRP?

I think for a 01 model you can get a great deal but not sure about 2002.

My sense from poking around is that you can probably get an '02 for $64 - $66 if you look long and hard. I know somebody selling a 9K mileage (or thereabouts) '02 that is fairly stock. I believe that he was asking $65K. Private me, and I can put you in touch.

Regards.

Most dealers order their cars with options, so I don't think there are many around in stock like that.
I bought mine with the intention of autocrossing. The only options I got were the 18"s, sport chassis, sport seats and CD player. I chickened out on sunroof delete.
I got a $4k off a $72.5k sticker. I had to order this car. You would probably have to order one with no options and I think all the 02MY production is done. You would have to order an 03.

Andrew,

If it is indication, I have my '00 996 listed at $63k and have not had a single bite. If you buy a new '02 from the lot, you will be able to get close to, if not invoice.

Best regards,
Scott
