+02 Conversion: Need help
I've made the plunge and bought 02+ headlights. Now I got to get the rest. For those of you out there that have done this, am I missing anything from the list below?
996 2002 Left front fender
996 2002 Right front fender
2002- Xenon headlight Right side
996 2002- Xenon headlight Left side
996 headlight tray right
996 headlight tray left
996 Right Headlight harness 996 2002-2004 Xenon
996 Left Headlight harness 996 2002-2004 Xenon
996 Headlight tray left
996 Headlight tray right
Clamping bow (2 req.)
996-Bushing (2 req.)
CIR Clip (2 req.)
I will be getting a GT2, Turbo or Techart bumper to compliment the look... Still undecided.
BTW, if anyone would like clear headlights, Cargraphic front lip w/silver inserts or good conditioned fenders, please PM me. They will be for sale after I install my new parts.
Thanks---

Wow ! How much is this whole conversion going to cost you ? How much is the xenon going to cost extra over regular lights ? Sounds like a big project - good luck !
And oh, instead of GT2 vs turbo, check out the C4S ... just like the turbo but with a better lower lip. My $0.02 that it looks better than the turbo or GT2 ...
Personally after going all clear on the front with an aggressive front bumper, I prefer the older style (99-02) front face.

There are two "new" fenders, OEM, left and right upfor auction on ebay now. I checked the part numbers and they are for the 02+ style. At this time they are only $152.50 @ , they list for about $420.00 @. You amy want to follwo the auction, you might get a good deal.

Total conversion priced at more or less around 5k.. parts, paint and install. the 99-01 lights are great with an agressive front (eg gt2 or even the aero), but I'm in love with 02+ lights more....

james, ill post pics when its done... hopefully within the next month
iLLM3 (seal gray tt) and i are showing our cars with Europrojektz at HIN in AC... you should swing by if you can. Cars, gambling and girls... can't get any better Hopefully the conversion will be done by then
leaning strongly towards the techart front, if i can find a deal. I'm getting everything done at TKX performance in LI.

Jon,
I converted my racecar a couple of months ago and your list looks about right assuming that a "clamping bow" is the piece that sits under the headlight and supports the bumper cover.
I made my own wiring harnesses which work fine (not Xenon) but I'm not sure they would hold up on the street.
I think they made minor changes to the guides that direct air flow from the bumper through the radiators but the old one seem to work OK. Not perfect though.
Good luck,
Jim
