My 996 C2 Cabrio has an amplifier problem, or at least thatīs what I think it is, the right back speaker makes noises like if I was frying eags :-)
Anyone else had this kind of problem ?

Any additional details? Is it volume dependent? Is it always the same, how long after turn on? Does that channel/speaker EVER work/sound proper?
FWIW, it's the same amplifier in your Cayenne and Carrera.

Itīs not volume dependent, the type of noise is always the same but random (it can make noise 10 sec. and then 10 without noise), and the noise starts when I open the car and put the key in ignition (even before I turn the radion on). That channel/speaker worked fine.
BTW: I have PCM and Bose (thatīs why I think itīs an amplifier problem).

It's not GMS radiated immunity/susceptibliity, this amplifier doensn't behave like that under those conditions.
It could be one of 3 things off the top of my head:
1. Amplifier output IC solder joint
2. Intermittent on the transducer windings
3. Harness termination issue.
1&2 have been seen from time to time. #3 is usually caught in the factory during assembly/test drives.Your dealer should be able to isolate it and replace the faulty parts with no issues. Simple.
Let us know if you have any other questions or problems.

Thr right rear channel in the amp is bad. Probibly be better to find a used amp than get that one fixed or replaced. Try ebay or call porsche junk yards. Be sure to get the same part #
