Hmmm, this is really odd that I've never seen a 996 except one time in the DC area. I even worked in downtown DC over the summer, and I've lived in MD just outside of DC all my life. I've seen plety of AMG's and M's, but outside of dealerships no 996's (but that one) and I don't think Ive seen more than 2 993's either.
Well, I suppose I've also seen my friend's x50.

I live in Clarksville, MD and commute to Springfield, VA everyday....I can be found on the beltway twice a day during the work week. I see p-cars fairly often...gotta admit most are in their own world....once in a while I do get a nod or a flash.

I see tons of 996s and Boxsters everyday; however, I do work beside Porsche of Arlington. Seriouslt, there are a ton especialy in VA.
Are there any other 996s going to show up at the Potmac PCA Autocross on Sunday? it is an awesome event and this is the first of the season. I am on the autocross committe and I can say that this season is packed including 2 challenges with the Chesapeake Region and Porschefest in August.

In my commuter lot, every morning I have a fellow 996 Cab park fairly close to me almost every day now that the weather is better. I see P cars all over, even down here in hickville if Fredericksburg

I'd love to do an AutoX at some point soon, but wasn't able to attend the PCA school a few weeks ago (wanted to!). Will there be another one soon? I didn't see anything in the calendar...

Plenty of P-cars out here in the Fairfax/Loudoun county border area. Mine is a DD and I'm on 66/495/95 (Baltimore) ~ once a week. Last week Friday, I saw 2 P-cars stopped on the side of the road on 495 West, right past the I270 exit. One was a 997 cab, I think. Didn't make out the other one.

Carlos, I hope that you can make it. I will have the white cab and I will also be assisting with tech in the morning, look me up.
Justin, there is not another Potomac autox school this year; however, you do not need to go to one in order to participate. The club offers instructors at all of the meets and even experienced folks take one along from time to time...can always learn something new. The good thing about the Potomac autox is that you do not need to pre-register. You can simply show up the day of and participate (bring cash or check, no CC). The group is very inviting to newcommers and this is a great way to find the limits of your car in a fun and safe way.

I have a 996 and I live in DC. In my neighborhood, Georgetown, 996s, and Porsches in general, spread like kudzu. I swear they breed at night . . . If you leave two 996s unprotected and in too close proximity, the next morning you will see a cute little boxster as evidence of the evening's festivities.

I figure it's ok to go OT in my own thread, and I never know who might buy some prints so it's worth it for me to put that out there.
