2002 996 from 3.4L to 3.6L.(320hp.@6.800rpm.)
Torque from 350 newtonmete @ 4.600 rpm to 370 newtonmeter @ 4250 rpm. 0 to 60mph 0.2 seconds faster.Top speed 285km and better fuel milage.

Better mileage? Really? With gas prices being what they are, this could make a big difference. Where'd you get this info?
