Has anyone come up with any good mounting locations for a Valentine 1 remote/concealed display in a 996 with PCM/NAV? There are no open places on the center console and there doesnt appear to be any places on the instrument cluster as well.
Thanks

If you are in the NY area you can check out Teknicar in Manhattan. They do custom Valentine One installations. Their work is incredible. They etch the Valentine One led's into the rear view mirror. The main unit is concealed. I've had several of my MB's fitted with the unit. Give them a call at 1-212-765-4777.

I had my remote mounted on the left side of the dash, above the steering wheel hub. It partially blocks the PSM warning light, but you know when you've got that switched off anyway. The location works well as it's near eye level without looking far below the road, but the display can't be seen from the rear of the car. AS

I had good luck mounting mine in the ash tray beside the e-brake. The door of the ash tray still closes, so that the display can be hidden, and infact there is no evidence of the V1 once the unit is taken down {ie after I've been caught by instant on}. It's obviously not in view while your eyes are on the road, but it is in easy reach so you can mute and change modes.
I can send you a picture if you wish.
