Default Track day at VIR w/ Ferrari Club- Pics & Vid

Great track day yesterday at VIR full course. Got the chance to try my new PSS9s out. There was an incredible RUF on the track, 2700 pounds with 580HP. Steve B. was the driver and he was giving rides (after signing a waiver of course). On the back straight in my 996 I could hit around 130MPH the RUF was hitting 177MPH !! The front straight I could hit 123MPH and the RUF could hit close to 170MPH! Needless to say it was a wild ride. Very little traffic and great weather, just about perfect.

I am attaching a link to pics (mine is the black 996 with blue tape on the lights). I am also attaching a video link. I lifted the link from another site (hope you don't mind Jody!). The guy taking the vid drives a red Vette. Great driver with lots of experience, he blew past me too easily. I don't think anyone was faster until the RUF came out.

Dell,

I saw in another thread you are moving to Cary. Congrats. Between Porsche Club, BMW Club, Ferrari Club, and Tarheel Sports Car Club (as well as a couple others) there are plenty of opportunities to get on VIR. I don't recommend becoming a member of VIR though; it's a waste of $$ IMO.

Thanks for the info Kevin!!! I am so psyched about getting to the area and hitting VIR. Looks like a fantastic track.

You are right about joining VIR. I checked out their website and it didn't make much sense to join them.

See you out at the track
