I found an airbag defeat part in my closet yesterday for a 996. The part number is 996 803 083 02. Basically it is the bar that mounts to the front seat bolts and has a receptacle for the child safety seat. It also has two new seat bolts. Still in bag. You will have to go to the dealer to have them set the computer. Kids may then ride up front. List is $174.00. First $125.00 takes it. I'll pay shipping. Thought I'd offer it here before going the ebay route.
