I would pay a couple grand more to buy the car you want from a Rennlister. The problem with Used cars especially out of state is that you don't know what it has been subject to. I think 39K for CupCar's C2 is a great deal.
I found my C2 for $38.9K with full FACTORY Aero this past summer so the deals are out there. However I know I got a smoking deal right place at the right time.
All in all find the car that you want it will come around just be patient. If you add the Aero it is going to cost you $3K or so after it is all said and done so factor that into your price.
01 with lots of good mods, skirts, and Aero bumper,in your price range.... on your coast

I actually found a car online I am fairly interested in. But, like you guys have said. It is at a used car lot, out of state. (About 425 miles from me) It has a perfect Carfax and looks pretty amazing, but one never really knows. The dealer says a PPI wouldn't be a problem, but I don't know how I feel about buying it sight unseen. Nor do I know if I would be willing to tell someone else about this deal in fear of them stealing it away from me. I mean, I found a seemingly spotless 1999 C4 with full aero for $35,000......Sounds too good to be true.....usually is....Only reason I can think of it is low prices is the color is really odd. Black exterior with a reall odd red looking leather inside...?

I have never heard anyone stealing a car from under another rennlister. If your serious about the car and it checks out it is worth the couple hundred bucks to fly down and look at the car. If you get the PPI done at a Porsche Dealer you can ask the service person to give you his fealings on the overall car above and beyond the normal PPI routine. However I would still ask for a second opinion from a rennlister in that area. I have done it a dozen times over the years for people. Remember the majority of this group allready has a 996 so it would be a far stretch for someone on rennlist to steal the car from under you.

Well, if that's the case, and I am sure that it is....Is there anyone in the Baltimore area who wants to do me a favor? Perhaps someone who has a camera too? The photos on the website aren't very good.

I found a 2000 with 67K miles with Blk/blk - aero kit, 3 spoke steering wheel, 18" 996TT twists, PSE, litronic clear headlights, euro side markers, tint, and owned by a porsche/audi mechanic shop. I called him he wants $35K for it. Really nice car. Originally owned by a porsche mechanic from porsche.
PM i will find the link on autotrader.

I saw a blk/blk c2 w/ an aerokit when I was looking for one. Looked cherry in all of the pictures. I paid $200 to have it inspected and everything came back great. I flew down to Texas (I live in WA) and didn't end up buying it b/c of some issues. The point I'm trying to make is that everyone has different opinions about what's nice or not... it's worth the plane trip to inspect the car before you make a decision. A few months later, I ended up making another trip and buying the car I have now. Granted, I could've waited even longer b/c I ended up getting grey and it wasn't my first color preference.
Bought mine on ebay.

Actually, I just located a 1999 C4 with 54,000 on the clock, black, with the full aero for the same kind of money. It's going in for PPI Wednesday. SO WE WILL SEE

There's a dealer in the Chicago area with a brand new 2004 911 Coupe with aero - Midnight Blue/ Grey and a lot of good options. Stunning looking car, sticker =84K, I'm sure you could get a heck of a deal on a brand new car with 4 year warrantee..

360? You obviously haven't driven one...very disappointing....unless curb appeal is enough, because it certainly has that....just very low on the visceral meter, imo
