Default How to turn on rear wing manually

I have a quick question, I know the 996's rear wing automatically pop up after 55 miles, however how do you turn it on manually, I thought we couldn't do that on a 2002 C2, however there was ebay seller selling his car parked with wing open, how can I do that??

In 99 996 there is a rocker switch on the sidewall next to your left foot. Try looking there.

There is a small switch near the left fuse box, not really easy to do while driving.

I think it's actually 74mph.

Rob is correct. The wing goes up at 74 mph.....not 55 and not 75 or anything else for that matter.

The switch you can see down on the fuse panel cover is a spoiler switch....RTFM

Dell, he is a newbie, so chances are he does not know what RTFM means! Maybe he is one of the few that didn't get one when he bought his used P-car.

911mz - just for clarification, RTFM = Read The F**king Manual

BTW, we're just bustin' your chops a little, so don't take it personal.

I remember the first time I asked a question, and got lambasted. It seems to me we could be a little more understanding.

For 911mz, there is a DIY on Renntech.org for installing a tip switch on the dash (one from a turbo) that will raise and lower your wing without reaching into the footwell. I did this mod to my car. You can fnd it here http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...code=diy_sp_sw

I got this from the download I did last Sept. If you can't find it let me know and I will try to help you.
