Default a few cool pics of 996 w/ body kits

I found these while searching for a 996. Some place in florida sells the cars and or the kits. I think the turbo tails look is cool on the Narrow 996, too bad it doesn't go up and down.

They need the aeroII skirts to go with that turbo front and lip. Those RUF/TechArt side skirt knock-offs don't work very well. Not a big fan of mxing an matching different makers kit pieces.

careful with aftermarket fiberglass. Factory is machine cut polyurethane to precise measurements and resists bumps, won't shatter like fiberglass. The knock offs often have uneven gaps along seams that can't be filled. Looks terrible and requires expensive body shop labor.

No sure what they are made of, but I think they look great ... however, I would rather not have the wing stay in the up position full time

Dell, Perfectlap- which manufacturer do you recommend for a turbo front bumper for a 99-01 996 C2? How about for skirts to match?

CarreraMark- Agreed on the full time wing position

Dell,

I agree that they don't look 100% correct, but I think they look good. I do think they would look better w/ the areoII skirts.

It's the first time I've seen the turbo tail on the narrow car. That's the part I really like. I called the guy and he said they do not go up and down...again, to bad, that would really be nice.

I like the Turbo look rear bumper, going to switch to one once I get the Supercharger installed. Side skirts definitely need something aggressive. The Turbo front bumper is cool if matched with the rear. I run the RUF and like that opening look.

Dell- Thanks for the tip.
Brian- I'm going to check your site too. As Vove and I were talking front bumper mod during the last NoVA meet, he told me that you changed bumpers (your car, dunno?) some time ago and that I should check with you. Do you know what he was talking about?

Edited: I meant Dan (Vivid), not Brian. Sorry!

That wing is an aftermarket replica. It is not retractable like the factory Turbo wing and it is always in the extended position. As such, it will not work on a cabriolet since it is too high and will interfere with the convertible top mechanism.

Not sure about this particular turbo look wing but some of the other guys have them that can be set up in the upper or lower position. check mashaw.com. I will post the others if I can remember the names.

Mark- Thanks for the various references. Any recommendations based on quality (durability, fit, finish)?
All the bumpers seem to be made out of fiberglass with some being available in CF. I haven't seen any made out of polyurethane as recommended by PerfectLap.

Does anyone know what type of wheels are on the first 996 pictured (the blue one)?
