Question Rollbar and resale

Due to my height, I'm scheduled to have a custom bolt-in roll bar installed (welding bolt attachment points to chassis)for light DE, how much will this affect resale value on my Cab.

RS

If someone wants a pristine, non-tracked car, it will lower the value in their eyes.

My guess is the fun you will have enjoying YOUR car now will be worth far more than the potential decrease in value in SOME peoples' eyes years down the road.

DEs are an absolute ball, and will make you a better driver.

I would suggest that you install the Porsche Tequipment Roll Bar for the Cab. You can take it out when you sell the car and there will be no permanant modifications (or welding for that matter!)

I removed it about 1 year ago and it is impossible to tell that there ever was a bar in my car.

I was told that the Tequipment bar was not legal for PCA DE's. RS, I am having a custom CAGE made for my Cab. I still have thoughts that the car will someday go back to stock... The guy making the cage is using a peg type system that will let me remove the cage by taking out only 12 bolts. Not cheap but I have a very expensive head/spine!!!!
Let me know if you want any more details.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the input, after careful consideration, I dropped it off this AM for the fabrication of a custom bar, that will be removable, legal anywhere, and give me the seat travel I need. In all the research I did, there were only 3 things consistent, Safety for me and my instructor has no price, and if you track it its gonna cost $$$, and finally, its worth every $$$ in grins..
