Question Removing trim how hard?

How difficult is it to remove the three small strips of trim that run along the dash? I am told it is rediculously difficult and that I should not waste my time. I want to put in either the carbon pieces or paint the trim that's there black. Let me know, also how do the defroster stips come out? It seems that they are just snapped in? Thanks. Sean

Interesting. I really am not that scared about removing stuff, however the removal of any airbags is what is stopping me. To bad someone hasn't done a right up or has a link from a tech manual explaining how to do it. Thanks toolpants, Sean
