That is a brilliant idea!
Maybe we could also use the tip button for a nitrous boost mod as well!

NOS would have to be the "+" shifter and the "-" should be for ricer-mobile immobilizer.

That would be a mod that I want.
I have just the thing for you. However, the "launch" buttons are located on the upper center console. This option comes in single or dual Sidewinders. The third pic shows the untra sophicated "Nuke 'Em" option.

Thanks for everyones kind words.

Bruce,
The Tiptronic switch only has 2 available wires plus a ground so you would only be able to activate the Bluetooth connect/answer and hang up/disconnect. I used a wireless remote hacked into the left buttons to contol the Ipod. It would be possible to eliminate the motorola switch completely. I guess if I had the time it would be nice to wire the little blue light in the dash somewhere.

As far as mic placement, I have a Cab so the best place so far has been on the steering column below the guages... still not the best. I did mount one in a friends coupe above the drivers side window with some success.

I may have to add the rocket launchers sometime in the future

This is very clever. Are you an engineer?

Wow, you'd think the "nuke 'em" button would have a safety guard cover over it to prevent unintentional deployment!

Well, now that you ask, there is a safety feature built into the "nuke 'em" button. The Sidewinder buttons are just "push & fire" buttons, but you will notice that the "nuke 'em" button has a light on it. A Green light signifies "ready" mode, one push of the button "arms" the nuke for 5 seconds, which is signified by a Yellow light. Push the button a second time within 5 seconds and the light turns Red and the nuke is launched! Then a pre-recorded message, which plays through the stereo speakers, reminds you to "Drive safely... and have a nice day!" How is that for German courtesy?

I cam across this post and it looks really interesting mod, did someone manage to control the factory head unit CDR-23 ? I'd love to be able to control the volume and track change from the steering wheel but I am no electrical engineer
