Cab top broke. mo money,mo money..
If this post shows up twice, sorry in advance.
So ,iam pushing the button to put the top down after all it's January and 89 degrees here in Laguna California, but the curf stops at about 80% and the light is still on, Ok put it back at 60% raised, I take a look back there and there is a kind of plastic envelope that sits vertical to the two pinchers that holds down the top, well i notice A CHEAP *** SPRING is laying next to the vertical envelope thing, so the vertical envelope is now cockeyed and wont sit... so when the material from the top folds on it,it gets pushed right into the pinchers...NOW I HAVE TWO NICE HOLES IN THE TOP , THANKS PORSCH !!!!!! OH THEY CAN BUILD A FIFTYTHOUSAND DOLLAR BRAKE CALIPER BUT CANT' FIGURE OUT A 2 CENT SPRING ? SO THIS WILL COST ME 5 K TO REPLACE THE TOP OR GET MY MOM TO SEW UP THE HOLES???? .COME ON !!!!PORSCHE. MY LAST FKG

Steve, what a bummer that is! I hope things work out for you. For those of us who own Cabs, any information you may get from the dealer, etc. could be worthwhile to the group.

I will keep you posted on this one, maybe too many pot holes in LA broke the spring, ? Might check my shocks again...don't know. not going to sell yet... Loren or Viken might help, they seem to know way too much..who are those guys?

I talked very politely to Russ my service guy, at Newport Auto Center, he is trying to get the factoy rep to give me a new top.. wait and see.
Even if they give it to me at cost, it would be nice... YEs Yes yes still love the car.....
