Can you add heated seats?
I'm taking delivery of an 02 Cab, but the car was ordered without the heated seats option. Do you know if the heated seats option can be added by a dealer or by an after-market company?

You can buy the elements and the switch for less then $50.00 from here for a set of 4 pads . R.A.M.E. I did a set of GT3 seats with them. They're really helpful, and include a wiring diagram.

If you have the time, please smack the dealer upside the head for me for ordering a $90K cab w/o heated seats. I can understand this for a Boxster where price point may be an issue, but the lack of heated seats frustrated me when I was car shopping.

Dirk, Good point. When my dealer asked me if I wanted heated seats in my cab I looked at him funny and said that since I'm spending a little over $100K for a two-seater, I may as well be comfortable in it. I know a lot of Porsche options are expensive but the heated seats are one of the few items that seem well worth it. Now about the $750+ footwell lighting...

With the GT3 seats it's easy, just pull off the cushions and put the elements under them. I know the regular and sport seat covers come off, how difficult that is I'M not sure. The elements come with a two position switch, and wiring directions which are straight forward. Just hook it to a switched electrical source, there is one under the seat. I hid the switches in the console.
