headlight wiring harness for 996 '02
Anywbody know where I can buy the headlight wiring harnesses for a 996.
I am in the middle of my facelift (turbo bumper and headlights) and I need wiring harnesses...I know the part department at the Porsche sells them, but at almost $ 400 plus tax for each side!!!! A little much for a couple of wires..
Anybody any alternative...or do I just have to bite the bullit......

Hi Nicolaas,
That sounds like a cool mod. I love those headlights, I think that may be the first order of business after I get my car...
Here is a thread to buy it now on ebay for headlight assembly, it sounds like could be complete, you could call them. maybe they also have wiring you could order seperately

just bought from the masters in ripp offs...LA Porsche dismantlers...they are asking $250 for each side.....used coming from a crashed Porsche...but they can, because you can't find them anywhere else and the originals go for 400 per side
If I where you I would look for a 2001, because the mod is pretty expensive....I got lucky buying the fenders. bumper and headlights for 1350 but had to buy some brackets and other plastic parts...and bumper lip totalling 500 bucks....now the headlight wire harnesses 550 bucks.....replacing and painting about 1000 and only because he is my business neighbor
So more than 4000 bucks, normally they charge you 4500 for the conversion set alone and then you still have to pay for the painting and replacing !! So the conversion normally would be about 6000 dollars add this to your budget and buy a 2001 with the new front!
the ebay auction you refer to is only for the right side...

Yeah....maybe a call to Venice Collision 310-205-1555....They had them in stock because they do so many conversions...and like I said, I think he only charged me $175 a side.....And they were new.
