mm23 - where are you located? I've seen a few in that price range. And yeah you should have a few $$ set aside for things like oil changes unless you're really handy with a wrench and like doing that sort of thing yourself. And get a PPI from a good, reliable shop when you find a car you're interested in.

it was a marginal call but that dang Carrera GT shifter sits up WAY too high for my liking, it gave me an elbow cramp after only a short test drive .
If not for that it would have been a no brainer. But on the bright side the other mid engine Porsche is like $325,000 less. that's allot quarters for my coin operated car wash!

Let us know what you come up with................................ The 996 is a great value but I wouldn't limit yourself to a specific dollar. Buy what you are comfortalble with and enjoy. Like others have said, be careful, the low end cars can cost you more in the long run.

There is a 996 black for sale in the classifieds at 6speed, 82k miles, but only 26K!!!!!! looks fairly clean...

morong audi/porsche in falmouth maine
they have a 99 silver with sunroof/sound package. 57k miles 2 year warranty you could get it for 30k no problem
